Dayton drum pumps are electric-powered, hand-operated or air-powered devices that are mainly designed to pump fluids from drums or containers. They decrease the risk of spills and also, decrease product waste by permitting fluid to be removed from barrels that are too heavy or large to be tipped for pouring. These pumps are provided with an intake hose or tube that easily fits through the opening of a container to dip into the fluid within. Dayton stub pumps are used for distributing and transporting medium to large volumes of fluids, such as washer fluid, diesel fuel, coolant and engine oil. They permit more accurate flow control than electric drum pumps and produce superior flow rates in comparison to hand drum pumps. These air-controlled transfer pumps attach to an adapter that permits the inlet shaft of the pump to be mounted through the bung hole of a drum.
