Reelcraft TB Series, spring retractable tool balancers attach to tools through a cable hook to lift them and reduce operator fatigue in assembly lines and workstations that require frequent use of tools. They feature a composite / steel reel housing with a tensioned retractable spring for extending & retracting the 6 / 8 inch cables. These tool balancers are integrated with zinc plated carbon steel cables with a safety latch for tool attachment. They increase productivity by keeping tools positioned over the work areas, to require minimal operator movement and prevent tools from being accidentally dropped. Selected models come with a locking ratchet for locking the cable in place to move the tools around a fixed area. Tool balancers are used to hold a hand-operated tool in a pre-set position to minimise operator effort during the use of the tool. They are commonly used in the manufacturing, automobile, food and packaging industries. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of tool balancers from brands like Hubbell, Packers Kromer, Ingersoll-Rand, Vestil and Speedaire. Tool balancers or spring balancers make tools nearly weightless, reducing operator fatigue and improving safety & ergonomics. Hubbell tool balancers are ideal for medium, heavy and extra-heavy duty applications. These tool balancers feature rugged die cast aluminium housing and a heavy duty steel wire rope for added strength and durability. They come with spring-loaded safety latches which are attached to both the top & bottom hooks for safety and can be easily adjusted with everyday tools from outside the housing. Vestil tool balancers feature a durable body and a large cable opening for simple connectivity to units, thereby reducing set-up and completion times. They are spring operated, do not require electricity to run and feature an adjustment screw which adds drag for fine tuning of tension.
The cable is attached to a hook or other attachment point on the tool. The other end is attached to the balancer to counterbalance the tool. Doing this increases the operator's comfort and reduces the risk of injury.
A safety locking device ensures complete safety by preventing load dropping due to spring breakage and allows users to lift, as well as float the load with maximum ease.
