These SS type couplings feature fail-safe stainless-steel construction that continues to perform even if the elastomer fails. Lovejoy AL Type jaw coupling hubs without keyway are used to link two rotating shafts for torque transmission from one shaft to the other. These jaw coupling hubs are made of aluminium for light weight and corrosion resistance. They come equipped with a SOX (NBR) rubber elastomer spider capable of being operated at temperatures ranging from -40 to 100 degrees C.

The AL-Type hubs by Lovejoy are used with coupling spiders to create AL Type couplings. These lightweight Lovejoy hubs feature aluminium construction, a maximum rotational speed of 18000 rpm and a nominal torque rating of up to 1240 in.lb.
