Solenoid valves are electromechanically controlled valves used to regulate air and fluid flow. These valves come in multiple design variants depending upon the number of ports and fluid paths. ASCO manufactures a broad range of air and fuel solenoid operated valves that are available in 2-way normally closed, normally open, manual reset and 3-way diversions. ASCO solenoid valves are EN 161 approved and work efficiently in an ambient temperature range of 32 - 125 degrees Fahrenheit. ASCO's air-operated solenoid valves use auxiliary compressed air or water source to shift the valve and can handle fluids with temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Solenoid valves manufactured by Asco and RedHat are designed to control the flow of fuel gas, liquid propane and other grades of fuel oil in industrial furnaces, ovens, kilns, incinerators, burners and boilers. These solenoid-operated valves require no head pressure for operation and are capable of handling the combustion system's pilot / mainline fuel shutoff and control applications. They feature a junction box with a simple screw off cover & wire terminals for ease of installation and a visual indicator to monitor the valve position while visually displaying the flow path. These valves are offered in normally open, normally closed, manual reset and 3-way diversion configurations for different combustion applications. Selected models have a working temperature rating of -40 degrees Fahrenheit and are therefore suitable for outdoor operations in frigid climates. A wide variety of these brass / aluminium / stainless-steel solenoid valves, available in 1/8 to 3 inch pipe sizes, can be purchased from Raptor Supplies.
