Dowel pins and shafts are used for aerospace, automotive, electrical, tool & die, prototyping and military applications. These pins can be used as a shaft / pivot / hinge in components to handle frequent insertion & removal without any distortion.
If a dowel pin becomes stuck, applying a penetrating lubricant or heat to the surrounding area can help loosen it. To prevent mating component damage, do not overuse the driver.
