With a curved blade design, the backward curved fan is one of the most efficient centrifugal fan options available. It can move high volumes of air at great static pressures and can be a perfect option for many industrial applications.
Fans having a belt drive design offer superior flexibility & decreased noise while offering control over rpm speeds as the motor is not directly in contact with the fan's moving parts. Direct-driven exhaust fans are manufactured such that the motor is directly connected to the fan through shafts or axles, thereby increasing energy efficiency. Belt-drive exhaust fans are ideal for high airflow or high static pressure applications than direct-drive exhaust fans.
A positive pressure generates on the front side of the blade that pushes the air outwards and a negative pressure generates on the reverse side of the blade that draws air into the space. The front side of the following blade picks this air up and pushes it outwards.
